Grants in general current cancer organizations are primarily research-oriented and while research is important it is not enough. There is a dramatic and unmet need for training and program development. The Hadnott Foundation supports organizations that:

  1. Increase health awareness by providing health screenings, demonstrations and information.

  2. Increase awareness of local state and National healthcare services and resources.

  3. Motivate participants to make positive health care changes and teach self-care practices.

  4. Bring valuable resources to residents and targeted communities to support education and emotional healing.

In keeping with the Hadnott Family’s lifelong commitment to education, the foundation also awards scholarships through selected educational institutions and not-for-profit organizations and individuals.

Grant recipients have included the Ralph Lauren Cancer Center at North General Hospital, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Entertainment Industry Foundation through - The Revlon Run Walk for Women. We have created an endowment at North Carolina Central University Foundation, established an annual student scholarship through The Links, Inc. Bergen County chapter and we also support the Eagle Academy in partnership with 100 Black Men of New York, Inc.
